Requirements to join us at Dearne Valley Swimming Club
Your swimmer would need to have completed stage 6 of the swim programme and be able swim a min 25m without stopping in a recognisable form and a basic understanding of all swim strokes.

stand out from the rest
We are a competitive swim club where all swimmers will be expected to enter competitions throughout the year. They will represent our club both individually and as part of the overall squad.
We offer the opportunity for everyone to try out competitive swimming. This gives your swimmer the chance to see what its like in a club environment. It is a big jump up from swimming lessons and will not be for everyone.
If your swimmer is successful, then they will be placed in the relevant squad starting from the development lane all the way up to A Squad Lane 1 (depending on ability etc.)
Your swimmer will be fully supported in the transition into a competitive swim environment.
Swimming is a big commitment but has some amazing rewards. You will see your swimmer grow in confidence, ability, fitness, technical swimming and what its like to race…. And of course, to be part of the DVSC family.
